The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of the AAUW Colorado Springs Branch has assembled a stellar panel to address the need and strategies for antiracist action.
Associate Professor of Anthropology at Colorado College, Christina Leza will speak about anthropological understandings of racism and what members of any community can do to engage with antiracism.
Colorado College’s Senior Associate Dean of DEI and Faculty Development, Peony Fhagen, and Senior Associate Dean of Students for DEI and Director of the Butler Center, Rosalie Rodriguez, will speak about antiracist work with insights drawn from their work as DEI leadership for Colorado College’s Antiracism Commitment.
The panel aims to interactively engage the audience in developing knowledge about and approaches to antiracism.
The event will be held in the Peel House at the First Lutheran Church.
Per AAUW Colorado Springs branch policy, masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
