To my Citizens Project family,
It is with gratitude and excitement that I write on this last official day of my tenure as executive director of Citizens Project. I am thrilled to be moving on to The Independence Center— another organization in our community that serves the vulnerable and advocates for civil rights— to serve as director of strategic partnerships.

These past six years have been deeply rewarding, completely exhausting, fun, hard, and truly one of the great privileges of my life. The search for the next leader of Citizens Project is underway and I have great excitement to see where new leadership takes this organization. Despite the fact that the world seems as broken as ever, I emerge from this role more optimistic than ever that small and mighty groups of people coming together to champion equity, inclusion, and justice will ultimately change our community and world. You have already done so much to make our community better and will continue to be a bright shining light for those who need it in the Pikes Peak region.
One of the greatest gifts we can give our new leader is that of a financially healthy organization. Please consider giving a gift in honor of my leadership (you can give at
citizensproject.org). Additionally, I will continue to be a sustaining donor to Citizens Project and I challenge you to continue your support. The mission of advancing equity, inclusion, and justice in our community transcends the individuals who do the work in the moment and we all need to continue to invest in this important mission.
I am grateful for each of you and have been so honored to be a part of this work.
